Our Mission

At the Noteworthy Kids Initiative, our mission is to provide all children with the equal opportunity to learn music, because we believe in the power of music and its ability to bring people together. By providing children with superb musical instruments, they are not only able to be involved in music, but they are able to perform at a level which reflects their ability; not the quality of the instrument they are playing. It is our belief that every child who wants to participate in music should be able to, and we intend to give every child the opportunity to do so.

The families that make what we do...

... all that much more meaningful

"Music is just truly one of those universal languages... music speaks to all of us in different ways. If you were to watch a movie with no music, the movie would not touch you in the same way that it does with music. Music is a fun beautiful piece of life for our family."

-Shanna Wenninger, Mother of a Noteworthy Kid Initiative Recipient

Music is what allows us to express our feelings, emotions, and stories, freely with the world. All people, whether they play music or just listen, appreciate music and all that it does for us. It has been proven many times that participation in music has a significant impact on the academic enrichment of children, and yet, many children are frequently unable to participate in music because of the burdensome cost of a musical instrument. Even more frequently, children play on “beginner” quality instrument for an extended period of time because upgrading is so expensive, which lessens their experience in music and leads to undue frustration. This deprives children of the joy of music, and so this is what we hope to remedy.
